I never thought I would be on social media. Didn't seem to be my thing. Not really accepted in my circles.

As soon as the new Inyonim.com debuted, I decided to check it out. I lost faith in the old Inyonim, but this looked like something new, something more fresh and alive.

What quickly became clear is that this is literally social media. Google Lens thought it was X. Everything I've heard of social media - the addiction, dopamine rush, ability to talk without taking responsibility for your words - held true on this website.

Why is this ok? How did we compromise our standards so fast? I see other people on here as well, people who wouldn't even touch WhatsApp with a ten-foot pole - and here they are suddenly diving in head first to full-on social media.

Yes, it's addictive. Yes, it pulls you in. But I think we need to retake control of ourselves, our standards, and our time.
